AIoT Shield
AIoT Shield was my bachelor's thesis for my Computer Science BSc (Hons) degree at the University of Dundee. The full title was:
Finding Vulnerabilities in Network IoT Devices with Large Language Models
This project focuses on the critical aspect of cybersecurity within Internet of Things (IoT) devices. These devices are increasingly integrated into network environments, yet often lack sufficient security measures. The project explores the potential of using large language models (LLMs) to design a novel vulnerability scanner specifically for IoT devices, named AIoT Shield. AIoT Shield utilizes advanced artificial intelligence (AI) technologies to automate the process of vulnerability detection, thereby increasing the accuracy and efficiency of these assessments. This tool significantly diminishes the necessity of extensive human intervention by providing detailed, actionable insights directly to the users. The project also explores the effectiveness of AIoT Shield against traditional vulnerability scanners.
